Life is what you make it. That's a byword of college graduates in the Philippines since time immemorial. But how do you see life? I'm addressing to my readers of my blog this question. How do you see life in yourself? Is it just a piece of banana cake that when you eat it, it is gone in your stomach it will vanish through the process like a trash being recycled? For a person who reads the Bible, life has a big meaning. Somebody up there who gave us life. Before we were born, He saw us, He knew us personally, He knew the numbers of our hairs, how many bones we have, all the parts of our bodies, He knew it well because He is the One who created us. Who is He who gave us life? He is our Father, the Almighty One, the All-Powerful One, who controls all creeping, moving, and human life on this planet and beyond. Is it just like that? God created you and me. Is that the end of the story? Ofcourse, no! He created us with His purpose, not your purpose, not mine, not others, but God created us with His design, plan, for good. We cannot comprehend why we are here if we based our understanding on our own. Any thing like high tech gadgets that was invented by an inventor has an instructions or Manual to follow to operate. Like human beings, we cannot function well without God's Manual. That Manual is the Bible, as the main source of instructions to follow, either to do or not to do. Disobedience to God's Manual will either lead you to a wrong way or death. That's why we need to be careful how we treat this borrowed life we have. We need to take care of our bodies by being careful on what we eat, drink, or where we spend our lives. It is in us whether we choose to live longer or shorter.
